Moms of Girls

I never understood this. I used to giggle at my friends who owned 113 hairbows and 24 pairs of shoes for their little girl. I thought it was silly to have a ‘bow holder’... because why would anyone need that many bows.

At the time I only had a boy, and I sincerely apologize for my transgressions.

I failed to see the pure joy that comes with decorating a little girl.

I own 264 bows.

And I currently own 12 pairs of little girl shoes… and over half of them have bows on them.

It is ridiculous .

Some of the places I have found the best deals on hair bows are as follows:

WAHM (work at home moms): I can pretty much guarantee there is a WAHM near you where you can snatch up some great deals on hair bows! And you can alway get stuff custom made by them. #supportlocal

Instagram: I have found many cute bow shops on instagram by using popular hashtags. One of my favorites is Wonderland Bows. These bows are unique because the owner collects special vintage ribbon shipped from all over the world, and she hand ties each bow with love! Use the code SHILOH15 to save 15% on your order!

Claire’s: Last time I dropped into Claire’s, the entire store was buy 3 get 3 free. And for those of you who don’t shop there, almost everything comes in sets! So in the end I walked out with like 18 hair bows for $19 during the promotion. They typically have great clearance for a buck or two as well.

Target & Babies “R” Us: I adore the ‘cat & jack’ brand at target, they have really cute bows in the big girl section that were on sale 3/$5 pretty recently! I snagged 6 of them--because I have to have 2 of everything I buy! I have also seen great deals on the ‘Koala Kids’ brand floating around at Babies “R” Us

Amazon: one word--PRIME. They bring it to my house for me, two days later….need I say more?

Etsy: Only go on Etsy if you have a lot of time and are ready to spend all your money! I could spend hours on this site ogling over the adorable handmade merchandise and entering my paypal information. Jamielyncreations has been a joy to stalk on instagram. She made us an amazing custom Eagles bow and a lovely poinsettia bow for the holidays!

So, I pretty much have an unhealthy relationship with buying hair bows and shoes since the birth of my daughter. Who’s with me? Tell me your favorite places to shop for all the cute girly things!
